It doesn't appear that I can edit this blog, which I used to own. But, I want to officially retract the original post. I was never positive about the veracity of this (or any) Rolling Stone article, but -- more importantly -- I have learned more of the character of John McCain since then.
Although I still don't agree with everything Senator McCain does or says, I think he tries his best to do what's right. Even when it's hard, and even when it's unpopular. He has definitely demonstrated that he handles adversity with the grace that most of us simply hope to emulate when the need arises. Thank you, John, for your leadership.
